POSITION + Desire:
As an integral part of the operations of the firm and design team, the Landscape Designer is responsible for assisting in the design process and producing accurate and quality technical documents to Industry and INTEGRA+ standards for all drafting and document control activities. The Landscape Designer, using hand-drawing and computer aided design system, will help to design and maintain drawings, document control database, specifications, and detail libraries. The Landscape Designer is accountable for: assisting in the development of the designs and drafting for site designs, land use planning documents, report preparation, construction documentation, base plans, site plans, planting plans, irrigation plans and calculations, lighting plans, construction details, etc.

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and detailed orientated with a strong ability to take direction and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision. Efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to work with others is key to keeping projects on-time and profitable.

LEADERSHIP + Tasks:
The Landscape Designer serves as a member of the design team, attends and actively participates in team meetings, training sessions and seminars. The ideal candidate leads with organization, efficiency, and accuracy.

• Develop designs and concepts for client reviews based on initial information provided by project managers.
• Accomplish complex and diverse duties involving the application of standard procedures to a variety of details requiring independent analysis.
• Implement procedures and knowledge of interdepartmental and company policies and procedures.
• Work cooperatively with the members of the team to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Acknowledge significance of role and responsibilities as being a viable contributing member to the overall vision, success, and direction of the company.
• Assist AutoCAD staff.
• Perform diverse computer data entry, clerical duties and report to the Project Manager(s).
• Provide design and drafting services for all Planners + Landscape Architects.
• Follow drawing format and dimension specifications.
• Capable of prioritizing to ensure that projects get completed on schedule.
• Follow Landscape Designer guidance in meeting budget requirements for operational expenses and capital equipment.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS + Accruements:
Minimum requirements and preferred qualifications for the position of Landscape Designer:

• Read, write, and understand English at a level necessary to perform the duties of this classification.
• Follow detailed oral and written instructions.
• Perform a wide variety of tasks, functions, and duties related to design, drafting and document control using a computer-aided design system and computer databases.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills with attention to detail, consistency, and preciseness.
• Knowledge of California plant species and their appropriate applications.
• Manage files within a computer operating system directory structure.
• Demonstrate supportive and cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
• Be highly motivated to grow personally and professionally within the INTEGRA+ environment.
• Ability to work with planners and landscape architects in development of designs.
• Ability to take concept sketches and accurately implement them into the overall design.
• Have any combination of education and experience that would establish possession of the knowledge and abilities listed above. Normally, 2-3 years of related academic coursework, 2-3 plus years of design work in professional office, and 4-5 plus years of related work experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Power Point. Document control experience strongly desired.
• Knowledge in irrigation design.
• Experience with Abode Creative Suite a plus.

$25 – $38 per hour

Schedule:

Alternative Work Schedule, Day shift, Monday-Friday

Mon-Thurs: 9 hour workdays

Fri: 4 hour workday (Employees can elect to work remotely on Fridays once fully trained).
